  • Certificate of Achievement for Childhood Care and Education, Qualified for Teacher with DPI-Other Teaching License from The Registry (Wisconsin Early Care Professional Development) (Certification must be current at time of hire).

    Responsible for supervising children's activities by participating with and/or assisting children when appropriate, enforcing safety rules, and encouraging children to develop positive social relationships with each other.


    • Designs the curriculum and implement 3K and 4K preschool and child care programs that accommodate the unique social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs of the preschool child.

    • Coordinates services for children in the program to make sure all services are consistent with the child's individual needs and plan of care.

    • Functions collaboratively as a teaching team member with the other teachers/4K assistants, student teachers, and field experience students.

    • Observes significant developmental/behavioral characteristics and records the necessary information. Perform student assessments per district requirements.

    • Develops and implement parent communication, which includes parent newsletters and informational letters concerning the preschool program.

    • Conducts parent-teacher conferences per district requirements for all parents of children enrolled.

    • Collaborates with leadership in overall planning, developing curriculum, and coordinating student involvement.

    • Assists students, teachers and field experience students as needed.

    • Coordinates parent volunteers in the classroom.

    • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

    • Performs other duties as assigned.


    • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field


    • No experience required


    • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

    • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.

    • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.

    • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

    • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.

    • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.

    • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

    • Rare climbing.
