Director, Retail Channel Marketing
The Director of Channel Marketing is responsible for developing an integrated pricing strategy for Allegion Home's Consumer Business, along with helping to build strategic growth plans for each of our channel partners.
The position is responsible for the implementation / execution of the consumer pricing strategy, building standard tools & work, reporting on areas of leakage and overall pricing effectiveness. The position will partner with cross function teams to provide pricing insights to key program initiatives.
The position is also responsible for driving the strategic growth of the retail channel customers through effective planning, marketing, promotional program development and execution including annual marketing plan, demand creation plan, partner co-marketing plan and product launches. Candidates must live within one of the following cities: Carmel, Indiana; Chicago, Illinois; Minneapolis, MN; Dallas, Texas; Atlanta, Georgia; Charlotte, North Carolina or Remote Florida.
What You Will Do:
Channel Marketing
Co-lead product line review process with account managers and provide analytical perspective
Lead marketing efforts associated with the account
Build deep relationships with marketing functions within the channel partner organization (i.e. relationships beyond the merchant)
Drive effective promotional planning, execution, and effectiveness. Ensure promotional investments are generating the proper ROI & incremental revenue
Maintain 6-12-month forward-looking view of promotions. Ensure new promotional templates are being used, promotions submitted within agreed corporate thresholds, and results of promotions are reported timely.
Share best practices during monthly channel & field calls.
Partnering with Cross Functional Teams
Provide input on "Retail" POV to cross-functional team. Understand & share a clear POV on (Retail) market, accounts, operations, complexities & trends from a functional perspective.
Serve as an SME on retail; Increase organizational awareness, knowledge, & effectiveness in servicing retail customers
Collect, & share competitive landscape, product / portfolio trend, and market-related information used by extended team.
Act as the Voice of Market to inform strategic Allegion Home road-mapping and business case development (PDP Phase 0-5).
Developing Integrated Consumer Pricing Strategy & Standard Work
Create a consumer playbook, benchmarking, standard work for integration into the long-term processes
Quantify economic impact & opportunity of executing an effective pricing strategy
Partnering with account owners and channel marketing, building standard work and tools to investigate all program (GTN) elements associated with the account. This would include promotional funding, returns, rebates, short ships, warranty, pricing discrepancies, etc.
Other Responsibilities:
Lead, coach and develop members of the team.
Manage the talent management process with an emphasis on succession planning and development of bench talent.
Create focused engagement plans. Review engagement results, identify engagement focus areas, build action plans against those areas and report out against progress.
What You Need to Succeed:
Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing or related discipline required
8-10 years of sales / marketing experience required
Prior leadership experience required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills
Strong influence and collaboration skills, including demonstrated ability to work effectively and leverage resources across multiple functions and geographies
Must conduct affairs of company and interactions with suppliers and customers in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
