Job Description
The Operations Strategy and Development team is seeking to add a dynamic and talented engineer with experience in applying engineering methodologies to operations. As a part of the Hydraulic Service group, your focus will span multiple North American facilities to develop and implement process improvement initiatives across each of the service aftermarket departments. You should be comfortable collaborating with several cross-functional teams and working on multiple complex tasks simultaneously to drive the adoption of new technologies and standards. The range of activities you will have the opportunity to work on include value stream design/analysis, process modeling, load balancing, planning, and cost estimation. A thorough understanding of engineering principles related to logistics and manufacturing is required.
In this role, you will:
Optimize material flow within facilities
Study operations for opportunities to automate both physical and digital processes
Lead the physical installation of hardware and conduct workflow/processes validation
Participate in i4.0 strategy discussions, RFQ developments and support facility implementations
Communicate and present technical concepts to variety of stakeholders
Use analysis coupled with simulation and planning to improve operations
Create relationships and contribute to international network of peer experts

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Process) or related field with 2+ years industrial automation or logistics/warehouse experience
History of work with automated material handling equipment, implementation of robotic systems, and packing technologies
In-depth understanding of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma, Kaizen and continual improvement process methodologies
Knowledge and experience with:
SAP S/4HANA ERP and WMS systems
AutoCAD, SolidWorks and related software
Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Willingness to travel (10-20%)
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with concepts like system architecture, optimization, material flow planning, system analysis, statistical analysis, and decision making
Familiarity with IT system architecture development, network communications, security, and integration of new systems
Knowledge and experience with:
SQL Databases
RPA Software
Simulation Modeling tools
Relational and NoSQL Databases (Graph, Document, etc.)
Scripting experience in modern languages
