The Minority Educational Institutions Student Partnership Program (MEISPP) offers talented undergraduate and graduate students summer internships with the U.S. Department of Energy and its national laboratories.

As an intern, you'll engage in scientific research or focus on policy, business, and government relations. These internships include paid lodging, round trip airfare, and salary.

Students undergo an intensive 8-week assignment to help launch their careers and develop their potential for future opportunities in the federal government. Participants work side-by-side with leading scientists, engineers, and other top professionals to enhance their career and leadership skills.

To qualify for these internships, you must be at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, have earned at least 24 semester hours (39 quarter credit hours), be enrolled as a full time undergraduate or graduate/professional student in an accredited institution of higher education and have an overall GPA of 2.8.

To apply for the 2011 MEISPP internship, the following documents must be received by March 31, 2011: Application (apply online or download application, RTF); Official Transcript(s); two letters of recommendation; and Enrollment Verification (download enrollment form, PDF).

Application materials should be mailed to Paula Earle MEISPP Program Coordinator, Proxtronics, Inc., 6225 Brandon Avenue, Suite 360, Springfield, VA 22150. Applications will not be considered unless all required documents have been received by the deadline.

To have an application mailed to you, or for additional information, please email the MEISPP team at meispp@proxtronics.com.
