    The Strategic Sourcing Manager for the Magnaflux Division (an ITW company) is a critical functional head within the business, collaborating with all members of the Magnaflux Team to meet and exceed growth and profitability goals of the business. ?Primary responsibilities include strategic sourcing, supply chain cost improvement and supplier accountability. This position also serves as a member of the operational management team providing a supply chain vision, business partnership, and collaboration with ITW to achieve strategic leverage and economy of scale objectives. The role encompasses manufacturing operations based out of DeWitt, IA covering more than $65M worth of equipment and blended chemical sales, and total divisional operations of $100M.

    As a senior functional head, this position is responsible for developing a team that will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are driven to excel.

    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    • Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of supply chain functions within the DeWitt, IA facility. Including purchase of raw materials, and/or parts, equipment, and supplies by preparing and submitting purchase orders.

    • Lead Strategic Sourcing for the Magnaflux Division and represent the Division as part of ITW Test & Measurement and Electronics Sourcing Leadership Team.

    • Ensure supply chain strategy, practices, and initiatives are aligned with the company's business unit objectives and support the company's growth and profitability strategy.

    • Lead the transition from a transactional purchasing department to a strategic sourcing organization.

    • Identify and execute sourcing initiatives that leverage purchasing scale, manage supply chain risk, and enhance profitability and global competitiveness.

    • Manage and negotiate supplier qualification and selection to ensure supplier quality, continuity, delivery, technology, and commercial requirements.

    • Develop and implement plans that harness economies of scale, drive economic value, and enable business growth by leveraging Magnaflux and ITW globally.

    • Lead complex and critical negotiations utilizing extensive professional knowledge and experience of principles and techniques of negotiation.

    • Assess contractual performance of major suppliers, initiate supplier improvement programs, manage and negotiate variations within and outside scope of contracts, and enforce contract remedies.

    • Coach, mentor, and develop talent. Builds a diverse, high performing supply chain/ sourcing organization.

    • Travel to suppliers and other ITW and Magnaflux locations, as necessary.

    • Establish departmental goals, objectives, budgets, and operating procedures.

    • Other required duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, Technical, or Engineering. Advanced technical and/ or business-related degree (MBA) preferred.

    • A minimum of 10 years?of in-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing, supply chain operations, and capital equipment manufacturing in a global environment. Minimum of 5 years management experience required.

    • Strong record of driving operational improvements to support the business strategy.

    • Proven record in implementing lean manufacturing practices.

    • Deep experience in effective negotiations, procurement, contract law, MRP, and Lean manufacturing techniques and presentations.

    • Experience with Kanban, vendor managed inventory, and pull systems, within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    • Experience with ERP systems and strong data analytics skills.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to engage and drive a diverse team of employees. Ability to build and leverage relationships and networks across the organization.

    • Expert negotiator.

    • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed. Result oriented. Sets ambitious goals for personal and team accomplishment.

    • Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.

    • Strong coach and mentor with the ability to hire, develop and retain a diverse pipeline of great talent.

    • Ability to facilitate and drive change within the department and organization.

    Working Conditions:

    • Must have a desire to travel, both domestically and internationally, as required. Expect 20% travel.
