Sr. Tax Accountant

Description We are offering a role in the public practice industry in Dallas, Texas, United States for a Sr. Tax Accountant. The role involves working with tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-Corps, and C-Corps, with a particular emphasis on reviewing these returns. This position offers a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Review and process tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-Corps, and C-Corps

• Ensure the accuracy of data entry and correct setup for tax return processing

• Stay updated with recent tax laws and apply them in the processing of tax returns

• Utilize Lacerte Tax Software and Quickbooks for processing and reviewing tax returns

• Handle a mix of high-level and basic tax returns

• Assist in alleviating bottlenecks in the review process by adding capacity

• Use skills in preparing complex tax returns, income tax returns, individual tax returns, partnership tax returns, and S-Corps

• Contribute to the efficient functioning of the team by freeing up time for other reviewers. Requirements - Proficiency in preparing complex tax returns

• Experience with income tax return procedures

• Knowledge of individual tax return processes

• Expertise in preparing partnership tax returns

• Familiarity with S-Corps tax regulations and procedures

• Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax Software for tax-related tasks

• Experience with QuickBooks Online for accounting and financial management

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for various accounting functions

• Ability to work efficiently in a public practice setting

• Prior experience in a senior tax accountant role or similar is desirable.
