  • Job Description

    An employer is looking for a Senior React Developer for a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity. The client is an enterprise grocery store chain and the Sr. React Developer will be supporting the client's Content Authority platform. The AMP Content platform is used by the client's Digital Experience and Site Production teams to create, preview, and publish key parts of our digital business including (not limited too) Home Page (web), Home Screen (app), Brand/Department/Seasonal Pages, Customer Landing Pages, Recipe Authoring, FAQs/Help Center, and TOAS on banner.

    Supporting and expanding AMP's content variance capabilities is essential to launching content for store & store-less markets. AMP engineering provides essential technical expertise and collaborates closely with DX, Site Production, and product management to ensure that we deliver in a timely fashion and meet business expectations.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Identify and uphold Fullstack engineering best practices

    Collaborate with designers & product managers to iterate on the design & implementation of our product

    Work with Engineers from our consumers to build and ship features

    Design a framework for creating services that grows with the needs of the company

    Monitor performance, watch for traffic drops related to usability problems & rectify the issues

    Review app and feature code, and plan future API upgrades with the development team

    Assist in the development of applications & features that will be put on the website, mobile app, and external client apps

    Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies

    Skills and Requirements

    5-7+ years' Web Development experience

    3+ years of proven track record of designing and delivering large scale, high-quality systems

    Exceptional experience with React

    Strong experience in front-end development including with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS and responsive design principles

    Experience with state management libraries/tools like Redux

    Experience with ~~~

    Experience with GitHub

    Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming

    Knowledge of build and bundling tools such as Webpack or Parcel

    Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git

    Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD)

    Enterprise level experience Experience working on a Monorepo on a large team
