The Special Education Teacher working in the Avon Grove Charter Early Learning Center(1769 New London Rd, Landenberg, PA 19350)will develop and provide specialized instruction.Under the direction of the Vice President of Educational Services, the supplemental Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction to students with special needs in Grades 4 to 6, establishes a supportive learning environment, evaluates and assesses student progress relative to instructional objectives, provides guidance to support to general education teachers, and coordinates delivery of special education services contained in each student's IEP. This position will be on assignment in the Avon Grove Charter School District.

This position will have support from Devereux's Center for Effective Schools (CES). The center is a non-profit research and training center dedicated to building the capacity of schools and other child-serving institutions to better serve children and adolescents with learning needs. This mission is accomplished through training, consultation and applied research. The CES is a division of Devereux's Institute of Clinical and Professional Training and Research. Established in 1999, the CES is located in King of Prussia, PA, just outside of Philadelphia. From its inception, the primary focus of the organization was and continues to be addressing the needs of children with and at risk for EBD and their families by promoting effective practices, informed by scientific evidence, to improve lives. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in educaton, special Education or similar area of study required. Master's degree in Special Education preferred.

• PA Special Education Teacher certification nice to have. We do provide Emergency Certification.

• Eligible for all Pa school-based clearances.
