    Job Description

    Raytheon is seeking a Principal Software Engineer with Python expertise to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities. This individual will be part of a team collaborating within Agile Scrum teams as a key contributor responsible for the design, test and implementation of advanced cybersecurity software capabilities. He/She will be developing and performing automated builds, testing, and deployments for legacy and emerging applications. In addition to the actual software development, the person will be responsible for developing high quality technical documentation, as needed, including user guides, test plans, and contract deliverable items and supporting product training. He/She will also support risk assessments and developing risk mitigation countermeasures.

    Required Skills

    6+ years of relevant experience

    Experience developing code with Java using modern technologies and tools

    Experience with Agile software development

    Solid understanding and experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems

    Ability to create well-modularized, maintainable software and willing to follow group coding standards and design

    Familiar with development repos and frameworks (Git, Angular, BitBucket)

    Possesses or quickly develop a comprehensive understanding of Government Information Security policies, regulations, and guidelines

    Experience working on projects that implement analytic models into production systems

    Must be able to work collaboratively across agencies and physical locations

    Experience and/or familiarity with Python

    Experience and/or familiarity with DevOps, SecDevOps, Continuous Development/Continuous Integration concepts, and automated tools such as Docker, Jenkins, JIRA, Git, Terraform, Ansible, Junit, JMeter, RSpec, and/or Cucumber

    Experience and/or familiarity with AWS Services (AWS Glue, ETL Processing, Lambda, RDS, Redshift)

    Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with one of more of the following database technologies: SQL, Oracle, MySQL, JBDC, NOSQL, etc.

    Experience and/or familiarity with Programming IDEs and Web Based notebooks (VScode, Apache Zeppelin, Jupiter Notebooks)

    Experience supporting data migration initiatives

    Experience supporting the convergence of legacy, on prem applications to cloud environments

    Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) knowledge and experience

    Required Certification/Education:

    Certifications related to AWS such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Developer Associate

    Certifications related to Agile development and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) such as SAFe Practitioner (SP) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)

    A large, multifaceted program is searching for a Software Configuration Manager(SWCM) to follow the basic principles of Configuration Management. S/He will establish and maintain integrity for all digital products throughout the entire life cycle. The individual will provide support the development team in providing innovative solutions through automation, continuous improvement, and common architecture. The person in this role will be part of a skilled workforce providing support for all digital computing products, legacy and emerging.

    The SWCM department is looking for a full-time and on-site - Software Configuration Management Engineer, located on-site in Northern VA.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate

    Design, plan, enforce and coordinate CM processes and procedures

    Configuration Planning & Identification

    Change Management & Version Control

    Status Accounting & Configuration Audits

    Product Release

    Manage digital product development libraries

    Document and maintain guidelines and standards for dependency management, build and versioning

    SWCM Tool administration / manage all access to the source code repository (i.e. AWS CodeCommit / Git)

    Administer/manage SecDevOps tools

    Facilitate the Digital Change Review Board (DCRB)

    Maintain familiarity with program schedule, identifying risks and aligning work to promote reuse and efficiency

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR in absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required.

    Experience with version control and change management tool(s)

    Software Configuration Management technology, Information Technology (IT), and/or development experience

    Solid proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and MS Office

    The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

    Qualifications We Value

    Typically requires Bachelor's degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required

    Proven experience with configuration management concepts and implementation

    Experience with software industry best practices such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI)

    The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
