    Vascular Technologists - $15,000 sign-on bonus

    Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) seeks a full-time Senior Vascular Technologist for our Level One Trauma Center and IAC-accredited Vascular Lab.The Vascular team is a collaborative effort consisting of ten surgeons, four Associate Providers, seven Fellows/Residents, and ten Vascular Technologists.

    We are an expanding lab with a primary site at DHMC in Lebanon and outpatient facilities in Concord, Manchester, Nashua, and Keene, NH. Our current position is based primarily at our DHMC location. DHMC is involved in several clinical trials allowing for research opportunities and presentations on the local and national level.

    This is a Monday – Friday, day shift position, with flexible schedule and limited night and weekend call. We offer a competitive benefit package with a sign-on/retention bonus, relocation package, and yearly education fund included.

    Responsibilities

    • Performs all diagnostic vascular exams at an advanced level with the ability to recognize appropriate indications and distinguish between normal and abnormal findings.

    • Performs vascular sonographer duties that meet departmental needs including preparing superior preliminary exam reports and entering them in the vascular lab database.

    • Communicates clearly critical test results to appropriate providers and interacts with providers to ensure appropriate exams are performed exhibiting an understanding of CPT codes.

    • Exhibits proficiency with all lab equipment and ensures equipment failures are reported and documented. Learns new machines with minimal oversight and ensures all equipment and supplies are available.

    • Participates in Quality Assurance and quality control programs. Plans and executes improvement efforts and resolves issues.

    • Seeks and develops new measures to improve the quality of patient care using a multi-disciplinary approach.

    • Participates in teaching programs including training of junior vascular technologists, students, residents, and fellows as well as presentations in staff meetings.

    • Participates in research projects including clinical trials within the Vascular Surgery Department.

    Qualifications

    • Associates Degree from accredited vascular ultrasound program or any allied health discipline.

    • Three (3) years of experience in duplex ultrasound technology and non-invasive vascular exams.

    • Proficient on all equipment in the lab.

    Required Licensure/Certifications

    • Certified through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).

    • Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire.

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
