    Position Summary

    As Senior software development engineer, you will use your experience in working on building identity, authentication and federation applications using the latest cloud technologies and development methodologies. As part of the Digital Enterprise, you will be part of a team responsible for design, development, and testing activities associated with enterprise-wide applications for CVS Healthcare Identity Management domain, such as Microservices, Docker/ Containers & CI/CD in cloud native environments, as well as, working with on-premises applications and converting them to the cloud with the latest technologies.

    In this position you will partner and collaborate with the engineering manager, product owners, architects, business partners, developers, and project managers to effectively translate the business requirements and architectural designs into engineering components. You will also be involved throughout the entire development life cycle of a product and must be able to deliver an efficient solution, as well as identify and properly mitigate any risks to the product before deployment to production.

    Serve as a strategic technical / software programming resource in the design and implementation of test software (unit test/automation) for software applications, system architectures /framework or software test tools that achieve desired results.

    Work with Product Owners and Scrum team to effectively translate the business requirements and architectural designs into engineering components to produce defect-free, thoroughly tested features.

    Design, code, unit test, white box test, and debug software, and implement complex functionalities according to product requirements.

    Collaborate across a cross-functional development team and stakeholders to lead complex software test engineering / framework designs from products / customer requirements to functional specifications to coding to unit testing and debugging to software acceptance and release.

    Leverage knowledge and experience across the business to develop innovative solutions which gain global competitive advantages; Solve complex / strategic software engineering / technical problems in innovative and effective ways;

    Write and execute comprehensive test cases, conduct code reviews, perform debugging, and troubleshoot issues to ensure the reliability, stability, and high quality of digital solutions.

    Participate in SAFe agile or other development methodologies, attend meetings, contribute to project planning, and help drive the progress and success of digital projects.

    Explore new tools, frameworks, and techniques to improve digital solutions and drive innovation within the development team.

    Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, architecture diagrams, code documentation, and other relevant documentation while sharing their knowledge and expertise with team members, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and collaboration.

    Prefer ideal candidate to be in Hartford, CT location, however, may consider other Digital office locations in hybrid model.

    Required Qualifications

    5+ years of experience working on enterprise / web / cloud software applications.

    5+ years Designing different Automation Frameworks for Web and Mobile Applications (Web/Native) to Android and IOS.

    3+ Selenium such as Python, C#, Java, or TestNG;

    5+ Functional Test Design and Execution, Regression, E2E, and UAT;

    5+ years of experience in Building and testing APIs and services using REST.

    5+ years of Working knowledge with functional, imperative, and object-oriented languages and methodologies.

    5+ Automation technologies (e.g., Maven or Gradle, Jenkins, etc.)

    3+ Building, testing, and deploying code to run on cloud infrastructure.

    3+ years of experience in Scrum/Agile development methodologies

    Preferred Qualifications

    Excellent verbal, written communication, and collaboration skills

    Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills

    Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills

    Adept to serve as a lead for the team to remove obstacles following Scrum/Agile development methodologies

    Exposure to product/services development and public cloud environment like AWS/GCP/Azure

    Education

    Bachelor degree from accredited university or equivalent work experience(HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is

    $92,700.00 - $201,900.00

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
