Radiologic Technologist

Description

These RT's will be using digital radiography vs. computed radiography or film. The DR or Digital Radiography will provide a dynamic range, at a faster rate with dose efficiency. This technology will make the RT's job a lot easier. They will also be using a Shimadzu portable system to take the X-Rays of only patient's extremities. The machine is easy to use and easy to move around to take the pictures of the patient. They will also be responsible for assisting with front and back office medical assistant duties such as point-of-care testing, taking vitals and rooming patients.

Responsibilities

-Candidates are responsible for obtaining radiographic images on patients as needed in an urgent care environment. Patient demographics can range from adolescent to geriatric.

-Collaborate with Medical Providers and Medical Assistants through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

-Perform a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment

--Explain x-ray procedures to patients.

-Demonstrate acceptable film quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and collimation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program required.

Limited Licensed Radiologic Technologist programs will not be accepted!

-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required and verified, (ASRT will not work)

-Basic Life Support (BLS) required or within 90 days of hire

-Prefer at least 1 year of clinical experience
