    The Program Manager, Water Stewardship will support with the development and management of water stewardship related projects in support of Kohler's sustainable living strategy. Key responsibility will be to support the continuation, development, and execution of Kohler's water strategy in topics related to WaSH and watershed restoration project management, water resources management, water stewardship, water use optimization in a manufacturing setting (technologies and response), water innovation solutions, climate change and adaptation strategies.

    In addition, this position will be responsible for global project identification and management for Kohler's watershed restoration and WaSH project portfolio. You will work cross-functionally with global teams to ensure alignment and buy-in on key SWFA projects (internally and externally). You will be responsible for managing global on the ground projects with a diverse set of stakeholders. You will support the global water stewardship lead in tracking projects, relationship building, and overall water strategy execution and management. This role will support in preparing business and environmental documentation for water resources, regulatory program compliance, data management and analysis, and field work.

    Specific Responsibilities

    • WaSH Access & Watershed Restoration:

    • Support project vetting, identification, and execution of WaSH and restoration projects. Support with the management of our WaSH and restoration project portfolio. Identification and review of new WaSH and restoration projects, including due diligence, internal and external education, monitoring and evaluation, verification, and ~~~ addition, you will support internal and external associate engagement with WaSH and restoration projects.

    Operations Water Conservation & Reuse:

    • Support efforts to reduce our companies water use and provide education and support on water-related topics across the company, with a focus on guiding stakeholders in reducing their water use and making progress against the company's water conservation and reduction KPI's.

    • Act as a water resources consultant to our global operations team in understanding their water related risks and opportunities, ensuring the conservation of water resources and the continued use of alternative water sources.

    • Drive high-impact cross functional communication between operations to ensure best in class operations in terms of water conservation and reuse.

    Data Management & reporting:

    • Conduct annual water risk assessment, support in development and review of new water methodologies, manage tracking and reporting of data and overall progress against key pillars of our water ambition.

    • Support with Kohler's water security CDP report, EcoVadis, and annual sustainability report.

    • Support operations teams in ensuring water related data is submitted accurately and on-time.

    • Keep up with best-in-class water related methodologies, reporting requirements, etc.

    Partner Management

    • Serve as a liaison between Kohler and project partners.

    • DEI & Environmental justice:

    • Embed environmental justice considerations into all project work. Ensuring we are creating space for diverse stakeholders and the needs of the environment.

    Social Impact Marketing and Communication

    • Assist in internal communication and media asset collection around global social impact and sustainable living efforts.

    • Support our sustainable living marketing team with all things water marketing materials, human resources, educational resources, etc.

    • Support global business development efforts for Water stewardship, general sustainability, and Social Impact programming, often representing the Kohler brand to partners and organizations both internally and externally.

    General Requirements

    • Drive high-impact cross-team projects as needed to meet the changing business environment and ensure the team is achieving its commitments.

    • Successful project management of internal water projects with global operations teams, consultants, and other external agencies.

    • A willingness and comfort in traveling to urban and rural locations across the globe. (25%)

    • Keep track of budget to ensure appropriate use of program funding and achievement of annual objectives.

    Skills/Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in water resources, sustainability, engineering, environmental studies, public policy, or related discipline + 4 years' experience in experience in sustainability, international development, water system planning, water management consulting, operations management, strategy, project management, ESG, or business-related roles OR

    • Master's degree in water resources, sustainability, engineering, environmental studies, public policy, or related discipline + 2 years' experience in experience in sustainability, international development, water system planning, water management consulting, operations management, strategy, project management, ESG, or business-related roles

    • Demonstrated experience with corporate water sustainability efforts, including reduction and replenishment activities and driving the development of cross-company water management plans. Preferred experience working in the international community development/WASH sector, with registered charities, or local equivalent.

    • High sense of self-structure and organization with ability to manage multiple projects administratively.

    • Able to travel globally for partner visits and to collaborate with teams (~25%).

    • Understanding of global water- related policies, regulations, standards, and literature

    • Demonstrated experience building excel models and conducting analyses using large datasets.

    • Demonstrated experience delivering mutually satisfying agreements in negotiations with others by listening to their objectives and acting as the company's representative to find common ground.

    • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and organization. Someone who can take on diverse perspectives and create a mutually beneficial agreement for all stakeholders.

    The salary range for this position is $88,000 - $111,150. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
