  • Description We are looking for a meticulous Payroll Specialist to join our team in Annapolis, Maryland. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes for over 800 employees, ensuring accuracy across all operations. This role is instrumental in maintaining the financial stability and integrity of our organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Accurately enter and maintain payroll information, including onboarding, electronic files, insurance, benefits, etc.

    • Compile hours, expenses for employees, and consultants from multiple systems to process our weekly payroll while ensuring accuracy

    • Calculate weekly commissions and overtime data for reporting purposes

    • Monitor Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Sick Leave (PSL) balances for external consultants to provide liability reporting for the management team

    • Update and review consultant employee folders on a monthly basis

    • Conduct ad hoc payroll reporting as needed

    • Manage payroll for both hourly and salaried employees

    • Utilize Paylocity software for efficient payroll processing

    • Ensure multi-state payroll processes are conducted in compliance with relevant legal regulations

    • Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection laws and regulations. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role

    • Proficiency in using Paylocity

    • Demonstrable experience in handling payroll for over 500 employees

    • Proven ability to process weekly payroll

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

    • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations

    • Must possess good organizational and multitasking abilities

    • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field would be advantageous.
