Medical Laboratory Technologist

Immediate Technologist position with a opportunities for growth in a high volume hospital setting, looking for a candidate with bachelors in a science or Medical Laboratory Technology and ASCP certification.

This position is a second shift opportunity from 3pm-11pm. (overnight and day shifts available as well)

Description

• Support core laboratory in trauma hospital

• Work within academic medical center

• Support overnight core laboratory operations

• Blood bank procedures

• Run compatibility tests for blood transfusions

• Manage and utilize blood inventory

• Assistance with preparation and collection of QC for blood bank

• Perform ABO/Rh, Direct Coombs, antibody screening, antibody identification, elution, antigen typing, compatibility testing and other specialized testing

• Gel methodology

• Ortho Vision

• SoftBank

• EPIC EMR system

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

BS in science

ASCP preferred (MLS or MT)
