  • Microsoft's Startups Team is working with startups around the world as they build innovative, inspiring new products and businesses. We are understanding their needs and reinventing how we engage startup ecosystems through our Microsoft for Startups program.

    Our Data team is a group of Program Managers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Analysts that want to make an impact on startups and help Microsoft teams better serve them.

    As Manager, Customer Relationship Management & Data Systems, you will be a pivotal figure in our organization, shaping the direction and success of our startup initiatives. This role is for a seasoned leader with a proven track record in driving strategy and business impact in a dynamic environment.

    Responsibilities

    Strategic Systems Thinker :

    • Understand and document the entire Customer Relationship Management and adjacent systems workflow & architecture.

    • Understand stakeholder asks and their proposed solutions and discern their underlying need.

    • Identify specific solutions opportunities to drive improvements that increase scalability.

    • Develop strategy and roadmap to serve stakeholder needs and improve our CRM & data architecture and workflows.

    Product/Service Development:

    • Develop and maintain Objectives and Key Results, project plans, schedules, and status updates that effectively engage. stakeholders and executives.

    • Perform data/system investigation and implementation work.

    • Collaborate with the Data infrastructure team to ensure quality, reliable and compliant CRM and data system.

    Executive Partnership & Communication:

    • Forge trusted partnerships with stakeholders across various departments, from Marketing to Sales/Support to Product.

    • Communicate roadmap, strategic decisions, and results to diverse audiences, ranging from team members to executives influence investment and progress.

    • Drives to collaborate and coordinate across teams and perspectives to ensure alignment on product management and release, including tradeoffs, adjustments, and improvements as feasible.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

    • OR equivalent experience.

    • 4+ years people management experience.

    • 3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

    Other Requirements:

    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

    • OR equivalent experience.

    • 4+ years people management experience.

    • 3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects in a global organization of 500+ employees

    • 2+ years of experience in managing a CRM or equivalent internal tools

    Technical Program Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
