    The CACI team is looking to add an experienced Database Developer to their growing software development contract with the Department of State in Rosslyn, VA. The Database Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database solutions that meet organizational needs. They work closely with stakeholders, software developers, and database administrators to create efficient and scalable database structures. The Database Developer will focus on writing code, optimizing queries, and ensuring data integrity while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business applications.

    What You'll Get to Do:

    • Design, develop, and implement database systems based on business requirements.

    • Write efficient SQL code for creating, updating, and retrieving data.

    • Develop stored procedures, triggers, and functions to enhance database functionality.

    • Create and optimize logical and physical data models to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of data.

    • Tune and optimize SQL queries for improved performance.

    • Collaborate with database administrators to optimize database configurations and server settings

    • Integrate data from various sources into the database system.

    • Develop ETL processes to transform and load data into the database from external systems.

    • Ensure data consistency and accuracy during the integration process.

    • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues, collaborating with DBAs when necessary.

    • Perform regular data backups and ensure data integrity and security.

    • Implement and manage data archival and purging processes.

    • Work closely with software developers to integrate database solutions into applications.

    • Provide technical support to development teams and end-users regarding database-related inquiries or issues.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for new database projects.

    • Document database architecture, schemas, and processes.

    • Follow best practices for database development, ensuring code readability, maintainability, and scalability.

    • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to database development.

    You'll Bring These Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) with 5+ years of related experience.

    • Proficiency in database management systems, such as Oracle or SQL Server.

    • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL PaaS, SaaS solutions in MS Azure Government (MAG) or AWS, Salesforce, Palantir equivalent.

    • Knowledge of PowerShell and DSC scripts to assist with enhancing/automating security lockdowns

    • Strong knowledge of database principles, normalization, and data modeling.

    • Proficiency in SQL programming and query optimization techniques.

    • Experience with ETL tools and processes

    • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and database versioning concepts.

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.

    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

    • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Developer Associate, Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate) are a plus.

    • DevSecOps knowledges is a plus

    $78,700 - $165,300
