Senior FP&A - Real Estate Cambridge, United States Finance Apr 23, 2020 Post Date 020394 Requisition # About the Job The Senior Business Analyst will report to the VP of Global Real Estate and Workplace Productivity (GREWP) and to the Director of FP&A and be tasked with the ongoing analysis and management of all financial aspects associated with the team. This role will be responsible for understanding the Akamai property portfolio to determine their impact on the organization and the achievement of financial targets. This will require proactive and on-demand analysis that enables business leadership to make data-driven decisions about resource investments (people, budget, and time). You will be a trusted partner of GREWP leadership enabling both quantitative and qualitative insights that are actionable and results driven. Responsibilities â€¢ Consult and advise budget owners on opportunities to enhance and improve financial results including changes to existing leases and overall team budgets â€¢ Work closely with GREWP's Finance Business Partner and the GREWP VP to build and manage fiscal management reporting including, but not limited to, budget-to-actuals, spend forecasts, operating plans, etc. â€¢ Measure and report on team effectiveness based on analysis of various inputs including investments of people, money, perceived value/utilization, and business outcomes/impact â€¢ Collaborate with GREWP leadership to understand their team and portfolio strategy â€¢ Consult with GREWP and Financial leadership to define concerns, gather data, draw conclusions and make recommendations â€¢ Measure and report on team effectiveness based on various inputs including investments of people, money, perceived value/utilization, and business outcomes/impact â€¢ Collaborate with cross-functional departments to develop and implement improved reporting and data workflows and processes â€¢ Work with GREWP Leaders to support their adherence to budget up to and including the shift or elimination of planned spend; taking into consideration corresponding implications and minimizing overall risk â€¢ Educate GREWP stakeholders on fiscal management and cost/investment efficacy About the Team The Senior Business Analyst will be a member of the GREWP leadership team as well as the global Financial Planning and Analysis group. You will also partner very closely with Lease Accounting, Procurement and Accounts Payable. Required Education and Experience â€¢ 8 years of experience and a BS/BA degree or 6 years' experience with advanced degree. Experience should include financial and strategic analysis and business partnering Required Skills â€¢ 3 years of working with a Facilities organization on budgetary/cost management â€¢ Strong understanding of financial reporting and fiscal management principles â€¢ Thorough software knowledge of MS Access, Excel, and enterprise system reporting â€¢ Experience working and communicating with senior leaders (Director level and above) â€¢ Excellent communication (verbal & written) and influencing skills â€¢ Ability to quickly gauge (real-time) your audience and adjust your approach and message Desired Skills â€¢ Master's Degree in a Finance Discipline â€¢ Direct experience with financial reporting and analysis â€¢ Budget ownership experience â€¢ Thorough knowledge of Oracle R12, Taleo, and Smartsheets â€¢ Change management and program (continuous) improvement success About Akamai Technologies Akamai secures and delivers digital experiences for the world's largest companies.
