    Job Summary:

    The Field Services Engineer will perform system engineering, design and validation for IT tools employing system engineering strategies, procedures and techniques to manage growing demand and complexity. He/she will work with management to define the appropriate standards, policies, procedures and technologies to facilitate the management, accountability, functionality, and security of RWJBH technology infrastructure assets and systems. The Field Services Engineer will ensure this information is documented, published and available to all as needed.

    Essential Functions:
    • Analyze change proposals to determine effect on overall system
    • Provide input into developing, building and implementing processes that allow for better tracking, support and management of IT assets. Ensure these processes are documented, published and available to all as needed
    • Provide guidance to other service lines on the full lifecycle of IT asset
    • Conduct regular reviews/track performance trend/data, lead process improvement efforts where necessary
    • Engage with others to understand the near term IT roadmap and its impact on IT assets from an IT support and lifecycle perspective
    • Create dashboards and reports to provide visibility on key statistics, including but not limited to IT Asset Management statistics, licenses, maintenance, and costs for Corporate and Affiliate entities as require
    • Perform analysis required to define reporting requirements (Performance, Capacity, Change management)
    • Develop expertise with reporting tools
    • Research industry standards and best practices and compare against organization benchmarks in support of continuous improvement of managing system IT assets
    • Participate in the development, implementation, and on-going support of ITAM automated systems management tools for BH Corporate and Affiliate entities. This includes, but is not limited to: discovery and inventory; software management and distribution; hardware lifecycle and configuration; and, OS migration and provisioning. Proactively monitor Field Service system and related infrastructure technology assets to provide stable, dependable technology asset services and provide ongoing trend analysis
    • Provide customer and peer training on related technology infrastructure toolsets, processes and procedures as required
    • Participate in projects, architecture and support when appropriate
    • Install, configure, and maintain related technology infrastructure environments, systems, interfaces and databases in accordance with established IS policies, procedures and SLAs
    • Assist with Knowledge Management by ensuring problems and resolutions are posted to Knowledge Base
    • Assist with Field Service Analyst tasks when necessary
    Job Requirements:
    • 3+ years' experience in a desktop support role. Must possess a deep knowledge and understanding of Windows 10 operating system
    • 3+ years' experience with SCCMIvanti LANDesk application packaging, deployments, and maintaining task sequences, and deploying Windows updates
    • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field preferred
    • Good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Concepts
    • Knowledge and training in Windows Desktop/Server Operating Systems and knowledge of best practices in a production environment
    • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and/or other common Windows administration sub-systems
    • Efficiently diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues at desktop, server, and network level
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical users
    • Help document procedures for future growth
    • Familiarity with the Linux operating system and computing environment would be a big plus
    • Experience with Powershell is required
    • Experience with InTune or another EMM system would be a plus
    • Experience in scripting automation using PowerShell
